An epistle in a blog
July 23, 2009To YOU,
I came across this question in a blogging group which i recently joined. The question was, “does good writing still matter?”. It was reflex for me to comment on the post and answer it with a yes. Good writing is an important tool when you want to influence people in every possible way you can. Then it came to my senses that the question was meant to answer how good writing affects blogging, page ranks and blog promotions. I admit, i was there trying to exchange links but then when i happened to stumble upon this question, i immediately answered myself with another question, “if good writing does not matter at all, then why do you still blog?”.
Blogging has been undeniably ubiquitous nowadays and it can never be separated from promotions and prizes you can get after months or years of maintenance. To some people, blogging is an outlet of emotions. Their blogs serve as their comfort zone. To others, blogging is synanymous to business which i think was my primary reason back then why i started this site. But to some really blogging is a form of a ministry which i totally agree upon. As i have said writing is a powerful tool and so is blogging. For months now, i have been blogging spontaneously that sometimes i fail to remember the content of my recent post the day after i publish it. And to my delight, it has been several weeks now that my posts sound no like the forrmer ones. At least for now, i have been writing about new things, greater things, powerful things.
I believe through this blog, i would be able to inspire people and touch lives in one way or another. I may not spread the word in the streets talking to every people i meet but at least i know i am doing something better. It is a great fulfillment for me seeing my live feeds come to life! knowing that my posts are not useless; that somehow despite this writer-to-be image i was trying to portray since i talked about christianity, i am progressing. I now understand the hardships of the writers of the epistle; the fear of the prophets and the hesitations of the apostles when they were first told to spread the word. Writing about something great is really something not to be taken for granted. It is something to be delightful of , to be serious of , to be responsible of. Writing about the Holy One is never an easy task. You can never assume things which are not in the bible. Every word you write must be right, every sentence must be complete and every story must be concise. This is where the need of the annointing of the Holy Spirit takes place. The writer who chooses to write about the highest being must be filled by the Spirit in order to write fairly and justly. It is not just quoting the scriptures but taking out the gist in every verse, in every chapter and interpreting it in the simplest yet most concise way possible. This kind of conviction I say is the door to the ministry people tend to neglect - the ministry of writing.
I have never written a good post , I can honestly tell that but i do hope and pray that the posts that i would be publishing would touch the lives of the people who will read them. Not because of how bad or how good my writing skills are but how GREAT our GOD is to open their hearts and whisper into their ears telling them to come home. I am writing this epistle, to the bloggers and readers. I am writing this epistle to those who wanted to know God but never did try. This is your chance. It’s never too late. God loves you. and so am I.
