The Nations are waiting
September 25, 2011
Before this day ends, i would like to share with you a very important message.
When Christ died on the cross for us, He purchased us with His blood. He endured a lot of pain just to reconcile man with God. He died for our sins, he took the pain and suffering that was all due us. It is therefore important and it is due His name that we praise and worship Him. But it must not end here. We must never forget what happened after the crucifixion.
Matthew 28 narrates the whole story.
Three days later, an angel of the Lord came and roll the stone where the tomb of Jesus was hidden. The angel was like lightning and his robe was as white as now. The guards who saw him were afraid and they trembled. Mary Magdalene and Mary witnessed the earthquake and saw the angel. The angel even talked to them saying Jesus has already risen and that they should look for Him in Galilee.
The women ran. They were afraid but at the same time filled with joy and they reported what happened to the disciples. The disciples then rushed to Galilee and was surprised that Jesus was there. They fell on their knees and worshipped Jesus. Then Jesus told them to bring the group to the mountains for he will tell them a very important message. Although some still doubted, the eleven disciples went to the mountain.
There, Jesus preached the Great commission saying,
” All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit., and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age”.
This command did not end with the disciples discipling the nations in the new testament. It is a command for all of us to reach out to the nations and be the workers who will advance His kingdom. It is not enough that we have a relationship with God and that we are rooted in the foundations of the Christian faith. It is not enough that we fellowship and that we are active members of a church. We must think of the bigger picture. How about those people who haven’t known God? Those people who didn’t have the chance to get a bible? Those who do not know about the bible and those who don’t know that God exists? No one can guide them except us who have already encountered God’s love. It is therefore our responsibility as God’s children to reach out to these people, to minister to them and to let them encounter God’s love too. We must get out of our comfort zones and do hard things for God. For as long as there are people who do not know about the Gospel, the Christian church is not complete.
Today, God renewed my passion for the nations. May you also seek God and ask Him to do the same in your hearts. I pray that God will direct you to the path that He has willed for you to take—to disciple nations and reach out to the lost. You may not be willed to go on missions but you can still take part of reaching out to them. How? It is simple. Give and Pray. Support the missions team and bless them! Also, every prayer is powerful. And when people gathered to pray for a single purpose, rest assured the power of the prayer is magnified. So i challenge all of you to pray for your own nations and to pray for all the nations of the earth so God’s light may be seen by all men and every tribe and tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Be blessed!

Hear the sound
The sound of the nations calling
Hear the sound
The sound of the fathers crying
Who will go for us
Who will shout to the corners
Of the earth
CHORUS
We speak to nations
Be open
We speak to nations
FFall on your knees
We speak to nations
The kingdom is coming near to you
Oh we speak to strongholds
Be broken
Power of darkness
You have to flee
We speak to nations
The kingdom is coming near to you
We speak to you
Be free be free
Hear the sound
The sound of the nations worshipping
Hear the sound
Of sons and daughters singing
We will go for you
We will shout to the corners of the earth
That Christ is King
